2:00-5:00 Microwaves in Organic and Combinatorial Synthesis:
Principles and Applications
Co-sponsored by the American Chemical Society and Cambridge
Healthtech Institute
Who Should Attend
Vice Presidents, Directors, Research Scientists in Combinatorial
Chemistry, Natural Product Chemistry, Discovery Chemistry and
Medicinal Chemistry
How You'll Benefit from This
Course
This half-day workshop will focus on understanding how microwave
chemistry can be successfully applied to organic synthesis and
combinatorial chemistry programs. The attendee will become
familiar with the theory and concepts behind microwave synthesis
and will learn about the capabilities of all major kinds of
commercially available microwave reactors. An extensive literature
survey with several case studies from major pharmaceutical and
academic laboratories using a wide variety of techniques (solid
phase synthesis, fluorous technologies, parallel, sequential and
continuous flow processing) will be covered in the course.
