9-12am Radio Frequency Identification Technology Tutorial

Most everyone in the healthcare industry has heard of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and its proposed applications. However, to make an informed decision on the applicability of RFID technology to a given situation, knowledge of the technology is required. This session will provide a tutorial in RFID technology as well as present issues to be considered in its deployment in a healthcare setting. 

Value to Attendees: RFID will probably be deployed in healthcare settings at an increasing rate starting in 2007. This tutorial will prepare the attendees to make informed decisions on the applicability of the technology in their own settings.
