Symposium Course Description:

Simple Western uses the principles of Western blotting, but is a fully automated walk-away solution that is a gel-free, blot-free, and hands-free reinvention of the traditional Western blot for protein separation and characterization. Simple Western is a valuable protein analysis technology for use in both assay development and basic research. Dr Chen will discuss using Simple Western to facilitate development of a high throughput immunoassay for IRAK1. Dr. Mash will use the same technology to quantitate specific proteins in postmortem human brain tissue.

Learning Objectives:

  • Simple Western generates reproducible and quantitative data for identifying and characterizing proteins
  • Simple Western facilitates and accelerates assay development
  • Simple Western replaces traditional immunoassays with Simple Western in basic and clinical research
