Big Pharma Shares Data in Brain Research



June 14, 2010 | Drugmakers have pledged to share data from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's clinical trials in an effort to speed the development of new medicines to treat brain disorders. A public/private database was announced on Friday to house clinical data from more than 4,000 patients with neurodegenerative diseases. Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis AG Sanofi-Aventis, and Abbott Laboratories have already contributed clinical data to the project. Reuters.
