Next-Generation Sequencing Data Management

Loading...

Compared to their capabilities only a few years ago, next-generation sequencing platforms now hold the potential to produce terabytes of data in a single experiment. With sequencing platforms able to generate vast amounts of information, this advancement calls into question the best ways to cope with and manage these data. CHI’s Next-Generation Sequencing Data Management combines unique perspectives from a variety of engineers, biostatisticians, and software developers involved in these data archiving issues, creating a common ground on which to explore how best to store, transfer, and analyze these data so that they can be applied as knowledge.  This team of scientists will reference case studies as they provide a forum to discuss recent trends and issues in sequencing, enabling you to choose the best technology for your sequencing and research demands.

We invite presentations on:

  • Data generation
  • Data acceleration
  • Data acquisition
  • Data analysis
  • Data interpretation
  • Data management
  • Data networking
  • Data life cycle
  • Data storage (protection & integrity)
  • Data quality control
  • Cost control
  • Cloud computing

…transforming sequencing data into serious knowledge.

Researchers working with the technical developments driving this field or researchers utilizing applications are encouraged to submit a title and summary of their research for consideration of presentation.

Deadline for priority consideration is March 5, 2010.

All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference will be given to abstracts from those within pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academic centers. Additionally, as per CHI policy, a select number of vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
