NGX: EVOLUTION OF NEXT-GENERATION SEQUENCING

Loading...

Next-generation sequencing platforms are evolving at a rapid rate and driving immense growth in bioresearch. Academic, government-sponsored, and private research expands while the cost of sequencing declines, paving the way for the creation of innovative new markets for bioresearch that previously did not exist. By delivering fast, diverse, precise, and large volumes of data, NGS extends our fundamental understanding of genomics, mutation, and gene function by opening doors to etiology, personalized medicine, diagnostics, and targets for new drug development.  Even with these changes, the question remains of how best to balance cost, quantity and quality when choosing a sequencing platform or service among these relatively new technologies. Evolution of Next-Generation Sequencing will investigate the applications of next-generation sequencing platforms as they apply to your specific research projects.

We invite presentations on:

Researchers working with the technical developments driving this field or researchers utilizing applications are encouraged to submit a title and summary of their research for consideration of presentation.

Deadline for priority consideration is March 5, 2010.

All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program.  Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to abstracts from those within pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academic centers. Additionally, as per CHI policy, a select number of vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
