Webinar Description:

What if you could predict the long-term stability of your biologic formulation on day one? The HUNK from Unchained Labs can help you do just that and more.

The HUNK makes what wasn't possible before — routine measurements of protein stability in different formulations using chemical denaturation — totally doable. It'll up your insight into protein unfolding and let you predict if your protein aggregates from the unfolded state — something you can't do with any other tool. And the whole process is completely automated.

You'll also be able to predict the future — whether your protein aggregates from the native or denatured state — which is exactly what will happen to it during storage.

In this webinar you will learn about how the HUNK can:

1. Identify the predominant mode of aggregation
2. Quantify the fraction of the protein that is denatured
3. Quantify the fraction of the denatured protein that is aggregated
4. Quantify the total fraction of the protein that is aggregated.

Speaker:

Rick BrownRick Brown, Ph.D.

Rick is the quintessential life science tools veteran, with over thirty years of experience in the scientific instrument industry. Most recently, Rick served as the CEO and Co-founder of AVIA Biosystems. On June 4, 2015, AVIA Biosystems was acquired by Unchained Labs. Prior to AVIA Biosystems, Rick served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Microcal. Rick received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts in 1978. When Rick’s not helping scientists solve big protein stability problems, he enjoys flying his airplane and spending time with his wife, 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

About Unchained Labs:

Unchained Labs is committed to building the first cool biologics tools company. One with products that’ll make a real difference in the research scientists do every day. One that UNleashes tools that help them characterize their biologics better. Founded in January 2015, we have raised $31M of venture capital and have purchased two product lines. First, we let loose the UNit, the world’s first and only multiplex protein stability platform. Next we landed another big win with the HUNK, the world's first quantitative stability predictor. With these two products, we have established ourselves as experts in protein stability.
