Digital Course: Getting the Most out of Your Real-Time PCR Experiments

March 16, 2010

About this Product:
All levels of PCR users are encouraged to participate and will learn good laboratory practices to optimize real-time PCR assays and effectively troubleshoot results.

About the Conference:
Gone are the days of one-size-fits-all PCR. Through effective amplification and quantification of low levels of nucleic acids, real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) and reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) have revolutionized life science research. The newest generation of these exquisite enabling technologies are now being customized to the application. Learn from savvy, seasoned researchers as they share their real-world experiences, targets, tips, techniques, and results.

Agenda at a Glance:

Topics addressed in this course include:

  • Review of critical assay design parameters
  • Optimization of assay performance from experiment set-up to data analysis
  • Troubleshooting common problems that impact assay efficiency, reproducibility and sensitivity
  • Introduction to MIQE - recommended guidelines for publication of qPCR experiments
  • High Resolution Melt Analysis: Power, Potential and Limitations
